Dates: FRIDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER - Decorative 8x4" Panel - 7pm - Laura's Studio - Woolmer Green SATURDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER Decorative 8x4" Panel - 2pm - Village & Co - 29 High St, Wheathampstead £50pp NB If you have a group of you (5-8 people) that would like to do this workshop together on a different date to those advertised, we should be able to work out a convenient date together, please contact me. Make your own 8" x 4" Fused Glass Light Catcher or Free Standing Fused Glass Panel with your own design. This workshop is ideal for beginners or those who have dabbled a bit with fused glass previously. Adults and/or teenagers welcome. You will learn about the Art of Glass Fusing following a short in person tutorial on different glass types, an introduction to sheet glass, frit (crushed glass and stringers (threads of glass). You will be able to use all of these to create a picture or an abstract design. You will practice how to cut glass safely with the glass cutting tools and then get your creativity flowing to design your own masterpiece. Laura will guide you though the process step by step. Your finished design will then need to go through the kiln, cool and will be ready for collection a week later. Postage can be arranged at cost if needed. Light catchers will come with a glass hanger and ribbon included in the price. Alternatively, you may wish to purchase a beautiful oak stand for your free standing panel, which is a small extra charge of £5, payable on the day. The oak stand shows off your work very well, but the choice is yours. All materials, use of tools, tuition is included as are light refreshments, a glass of fizz for adults (evening workshops only) and soft drinks for teenagers, and nibbles. Daytime courses include tea, coffee, biscuits. Closed toe shoes are advised. Maximum of 6 participants (10 participants at village & co in Wheathampstead)
